What a Medical Outreach Day Actually Costs

Donors ask us what a day of medical outreach costs. The honest answer has four parts, and only one of them is medicine.

Consumables and drugs are the largest line, followed by transport for the clinical team and equipment. Clinician stipends come third. The fourth line — follow-up on referred cases — is the one most often left out of outreach budgets, and it is the reason a detected condition becomes a treated one.
